Women

33.Surah Al-‘Aĥzāb (Verse 35)

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

33.Surah Al-‘Aĥzāb (Verse 58)

And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.

33.Surah Al-‘Aĥzāb (Verse 59)

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 221)

And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you. And do not marry polytheistic men until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. Those invite to the Fire, but Allah invites to Paradise and to forgiveness,by His permission. And He makes clear His verses to the people that perhaps they may remember.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 228)

Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to them [i.e.,the wives] is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 231)

And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, and do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what has been revealed to you of the Book [i.e., the Qur’an] and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 232)

And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their (former) husbands if they [i.e., all parties] agree among themselves on an acceptable basis. That is instructed to whoever of you believes in Allah and the Last Day. That is better for you and purer, and Allah knows and you know not.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 235)

There is no blame upon you for that to which you [indirectly] allude concerning a proposal to women or for what you conceal within yourselves. Allah knows that you will have them in mind. But do not promise them secretly except for saying a proper saying. And do not determine to undertake a marriage contract until the decreed period reaches its end. And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 236)

There is no blame upon you if you divorce women you have not touched nor specified for them an obligation. But give them [a gift of] compensation – the wealthy according to his capability and the poor according to his capability – a provision according to what is acceptable, a duty upon the doers of good.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 241)

And for divorced women is a provision according to what is acceptable – a duty upon the righteous.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 282)

O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] between you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one who has the obligation [i.e., the debtor] dictate. And let him fear Allah, his Lord, and not leave anything out of it. But if the one who has the obligation is of limited understanding or weak or unable to dictate himself, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses – so that if one of them [i.e., the women] errs, then the other can remind her. And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called upon. And do not be [too] weary to write it, whether it is small or large, for its [specified] term. That is more just in the sight of Allah and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. And take witnesses when you conclude a contract. Let no scribe be harmed or any witness. For if you do so, indeed, it is [grave] disobedience in you. And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

3.Surah ‘Āli `Imrān (Verse 14)

Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons,heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.

24.Surah An-Nūr (Verse 31)

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which appears thereof and to wrap their khimar over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess , or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

24.Surah An-Nūr (Verse 60)

And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage – there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

57.Surah Al-Ĥadīd (Verse 12)

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], “Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally.” That is what is the great attainment.

57.Surah Al-Ĥadīd (Verse 13)

On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, “Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light.” It will be said,Go back behind you and seek light. And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.

60.Surah Al-Mumtaĥanah (Verse 10)

O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful(wives) for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give them [i.e., the disbelievers] what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them [i.e., the disbelievers] ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

60.Surah Al-Mumtaĥanah (Verse 12)

O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right – then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 223)

Your wives are a place of cultivation [i.e., sowing of seed] for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 226)

For those who swear not to have sexual relations with their wives *73 is a waiting time of four months, but if they return [to normal relations] – then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

And due to them is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 234)

And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind – they,[the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days]. And when they have fulfilled their term, then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable manner. And Allah is [fully] Aware of what you do.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 240)

And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind – for their wives is a bequest: maintenance for one year without turning [them] out. But if they leave [of their own accord], then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable way. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

4.Surah An-Nisā’ (Verse 12)

And for you is half of what your wives leave if they have no child. But if they have a child, for you is one fourth of what they leave, after any bequest they [may have] made or debt. And for them [i.e., the wives] is one fourth if you leave no child. But if you leave a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt. And if a man or woman leaves neither ascendants nor descendants but has a brother or a sister, then for each one of them is a sixth. But if they are more than two, they share a third, after any bequest which was made or debt, as long as there is no detriment [caused]. *146 [This is] an ordinance from Allah, and Allah is Knowing and Forbearing.

4.Surah An-Nisā’ (Verse 23)

Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father’s sisters, your mother’s sisters, your brother’s daughters, your sister’s daughters, your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursing, your wives’ mothers, and your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in. But if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you. And [also prohibited are] the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

4.Surah An-Nisā’ (Verse 129)

And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah – then indeed,Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

Justice

There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], “I am not a guardian over you.”(6:104)

And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, “You have studied,” and so We may make the Qur’an clear for a people who know.(6:105

Follow, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord – there is no deity except Him – and turn away from those who associate others with Allah .(6:106)

But if Allah had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.(6:107)

And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah , lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.(6:108)

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, “The signs are only with Allah .” And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe.(6:109)

And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.(6:110)

And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant.(6:111)

And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy – devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent.(6:112)

And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing.(6:113)

[Say], “Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?” And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.(6:114)

And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.(6:115)

And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.(6:116)

Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.(6:117)

And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allah (and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knowing.(2:131)

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.(4:36)

And Moses said, “If you should disbelieve, you and whoever is on the earth entirely – indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.”(14:8)

Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it – after the clear proofs came to them – out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.(2:213)

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.(2:143)

And when it is said to them, “Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger,” they say, “Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers.” Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided(5:104)

Say: “With Allah is the perfect proof and argument, (i.e. the Oneness of Allah, the sending of His Messengers and His Holy Books, etc. to mankind), had He so willed, He would indeed have guided you all.”(6:149)

Protection

The Qur’an is protected. (15:9) The Qur’an is the detailed explanation of its self (10:37). The Qur’an is without doubt (2:2). The Qur’an Explains all things (16:89). Nothing has been omitted from Qur’an (6:38). Allah has brought forth every form of similitude in Qur’an (17:89). Allah does not run out of words (18:109). Allah says it is He who will explain the Qur’an (17:32)

And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Quran, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything.(18:57)

And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord but turns away from them and forgets what his hands have put forth? Indeed, We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if you invite them to guidance – they will never be guided, then – ever.(18:56)

‎”Allah has revealed the most beautiful hadith in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah’s praises. Such is THE GUIDANCE of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.”
[39:23]

And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they say, “Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing.” Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?(2:170)

‎12:111 …Never was the Qur’an a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a DETAILED EXPLANATION of all things and GUIDANCE and mercy for a PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE.

Say, ‘Are there of your ‘partners’ any who guides to the truth?’ Say, ‘ Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is with you – how do you judge?’ 10:35

Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.(2:109)

‎31:6 And from the people, there are those who will purchase a baseless Hadith with which to mislead from the path of Allah without knowledge, and to make it a mockery. These will have a humiliating retribution.

And [the believers among] those to whom We have given the [previous] Scripture rejoice at what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], but among the [opposing] factions are those who deny part of it. Say, “I have only been commanded to worship Allah and not associate [anything] with Him. To Him I invite, and to Him is my return.”(13:6)

‎5:68 Say, “O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.” And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

“We have decreed for you the same deen as was enjoined upon Noah and what is revealed to you herein, and also what was enjoined upon Abraham, Moses and Jesus. You shall uphold the one deen and not be divided. It is simply too difficult for the idol-worshippers to accept what you advocate. God is the one who will bring towards Him whomever He wills, and He will guide towards Himself those who would return.” (42:13)

‎2:121 Those to whom We gave the Book, they follow it as it truthfully deserves to be followed; they believe in it. As for those who disbelieve in it, they are the losers.

‎45:6 These are the revelations of Allah, We recite them to you with the truth. So, in which hadith after Allah and His revelations do they believe?

45:7 Woe to every sinful fabricator.

And when Allah is mentioned alone, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those [worshipped] other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice.(39:48)

Arrogance

Arrogance is a deadly disease to have. It takes over the heart and corrupts all of one’s action. You can tell an arrogant one because he/she walks with their chest high and believe they are better than others. They also think that only them and their sect is rightly guided. Beware of the arrogant ones and stay away from the disease it burns deeds as fast as fire. It leaves the person infected delusional with a false sense of securty and lack of basic human kindness. The only cure for arrogance is humbleness but sadly most carriers are not aware of their disease.

20120107-231404.jpg

Arrogance

7.Surah Al-‘A`rāf (Verse 40)

Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them – the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle [i.e., never]. And thus do We recompense the criminals.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 34)

And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam”; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 87)

And We did certainly give Moses the Scripture [i.e., the Torah] and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit, But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your and another party you killed.souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied.

4.Surah An-Nisā’ (Verse 173)

And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty. But as for those who disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper.

14.Surah ‘Ibrāhīm (Verse 21)

And they will come out [for judgement] before Allah all together, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant, “Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah?” They will say, “If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we show intolerance or are patient: there is for us no place of escape.”

2.Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 7)

Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.

23.Surah Al-Mu’minūn (Verse 67)

In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

25.Surah Al-Furqān (Verse 63)

And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace.

35.Surah Fāţir (Verse 43)

[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way [i.e., fate] of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way [i.e., established method] of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.

71.Surah Nūĥ (Verse 7)

And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, *1665 persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.

Allah

ALLAH is infinite and there is nothing that exists ALONG WITH or ALONGSIDE ALLAH. Neither INCREASE nor DECREASE can be ATTRIBUTED to INFINITY. We know ALLAH by HIS ATTRIBUTES. THESE ATTRIBUTES ARE HIS, AND HIS ALONE. THE WORLD and ALL THAT IS IN IT are MERELY SHADOWS or MANIFESTATIONS OF THE ATTRIBUTES OF THE ONE WHOLE BEING, ALLAH. Your sight is a MANIFESTATION OF ALLAH’S ATTRIBUTE OF ALL-SEEING (Al-Baseer) BY EXTENSION, NOT BY OWNERSHIP. Your hearing is a MANIFESTATION OF ALLAH’S ATTRIBUTE OF ALL-HEARING. NONE OTHER THAN ALLAH CAN CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THESE ATTRIBUTES. Those that see, do so by means of ALLAH’S SIGHT, NOT THEIR OWN. SHIRK is to ascribe partners with ALLAH IN ANY OF HIS ATTRIBUTES. TO CLAIM THAT YOU EXIST IN SOME PLACE and ALLAH EXISTS IN ANOTHER, IS TO CHALLENGE ALLAH’S OWNERSHIP IN THE ATTRIBUTE OF ‘AL-AHAD’ (WHOLE), and AS-SAMAD (IMPERMEABLE, LETTING NOTHING IN OR OUT).

ALLAH HAS NOT BROUGHT YOU ABOUT AS A SECOND BEING, BROKEN OFF FROM HIMSELF (LAM YALID), NOR WAS HE BROUGHT ABOUT AND BROKEN OFF FROM A FIRST BEING (LAM YULAD). FURTHERMORE, there is nothing in existence that can BE COMPARED TO ALLAH, because THERE IS NO OTHER BEING THAT EXISTS…

As far as separateness between creation and created, there is none. Take for example the verse where Allah says he is The First (Al-Awwal), The Last (Al-Aakhir), The Hidden (Al-Batin), and The Manifest (Al-Zhahir), along with Allah being Al-Ahad (Whole) and you have no room left for a separate existence from him. Then top it off with the fact that Allah says ‘lam yalid’, he does not give birth, i.e he does not create anything as a creature broken off separately from himself, nor was he broken off as a separate creation (lam yulad) from anyone else. Allah is “Samad”, self-sufficient, impermeable, allowing nothing in or out of his self. Wa huwa bi kulli shay’in Muheet, All-Encompassing as in being the things own self. Then Allah even goes further to say “He is closer than your own jugular vein”.(50:16) Can it be made any clearer?
